Maintenance Technician

Grand Rapids, MI

WSI is recruiting for a full-time, second shift Maintenance Technician to work for a company that specializes in food service, food retail, and food production. Your primary focus will be preventative and unscheduled maintenance on production machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

A typical Maintenance Technician’s work week consists of:

  • Installing and maintaining production machines and plant facility equipment
  • Preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment
  • Detecting and reporting faulty operations and defective material
  • Troubleshooting, replacing/repairing parts, testing and making necessary adjustments
  • Compliance with food safety and workplace safety regulations at all times

Let’s chat about the Maintenance Technician role if you:

  • Have 3-5 years of previous plant maintenance or machine repair experience
  • Possess an AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance
  • Are proficient in basic industrial/electrical skills
  • Can easily read and comprehend blueprints and equipment manuals
  • Work well with others
  • Can pass a drug screen
  • Have reliable transportation that gets you to work on time
