Director of Staffing Operations

As Director of Staffing Operations, your positivity and energy is the lifeblood of our entire organization. You’ll work with others to identify what it really means to “Work the WSI Way” and implement those key factors to achieve operational excellence. Everyday you’ll put on your positive pants and a smile as you lead, develop, support and standardize staffing operations among all branches in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. 

Your leadership won’t just be affecting internal employees, it will spill over to other lives, too. Because when processes are consistent, efficient, and working smoothly, it’s a win-win for staff, client relations, and associates. 


The Director of Staffing Operations will:

  • Promote a positive, professional, and connected working environment among all staffing operations
  • Ensure that all WSI initiatives are effectively communicated to each branch and that each team has the support they need to successfully and consistently implement them
  • Regularly travel to all branches (including overnight stays) up to 20% of the time
  • Lead, coach, support, and develop all branch managers
  • Serve as a SME (subject matter expert) of all staffing tools (ATS system, background checks, recruiting tools, etc.)
  • Routinely evaluate operating processes/procedures, ensuring that WSI is utilizing the best tools and technology to operate efficiently and effectively
  • Implement and monitor KPIs across all branches  
  • Monitor and evaluate various aspects tied to each branch’s financial and operational success 
  • Continually enhance overall associate experience 
  • Proactively use data and feedback to identify, improve, develop and track growth opportunities within current client/account base
  • Inspire staff to carry out WSI’s outstanding customer service initiatives
  • Supervise onboarding of large new clients 
  • Establish new partnerships with secondaries in markets as required  
  • Oversee launching of new offices 
  • Oversee workers compensation and unemployment initiatives through leadership, coaching and support of Risk Manager 
  • Reports to the VP

  • Has prior experience managing/leading teams (bonus if it’s from the staffing industry!)
  • Has prior account management experience
